One of the most popular features at the annual Riviera Festival of Boating is the many workshops conducted by the luxury boat manufacturer throughout the three-day event.

This year Riviera will once again hold a series of workshops that span the full spectrum of marine education – from night navigation and safety at sea through to a new fishing clinic, and a special new skippers program for people aged 18-25 years.

Also new is the “Living the Riviera Dream” where owners will share the joys and rewards of extended cruising. The feature presenter will be the owner of a Riviera 61 Enclosed Flybridge who will share his amazing 5000 nautical mile (9260km) odyssey around the Pacific.

Riviera Brand and Communications Director, Stephen Milne, said the exhilaration and enjoyment of boating would be taken to new levels at the 2017 Festival.

Of course our most popular workshops return with new content and fresh hands-on workshops, including the Ladies Skipper Program,” Mr Milne said. “We will also cover topics like safe towing and anchoring, understanding the weather, offshore seamanship, understanding navigation and radar operation, emergency procedures and radio communications.

“We will also provide information on preventative maintenance and professional tricks of the trade.”

Nine-model Showcase

Riviera will also display its latest models on the water with a red-carpet showcase that includes guided tours through the interior prototype of the new 68 Sports Motor Yacht ahead of its world premiere in mid-2017.

Our fully narrated Riviera factory tour will also return in 2017,” Mr Milne said. “Visitors will have, via the Riviera Express train ride or air-conditioned bus, the opportunity to learn more about our world-class production processes at the largest luxury motor yacht facility in the Southern Hemisphere.”
