Clipper Motor Yachts will use the 2015 Gold Coast International Marine Expo for the world premiere of its new-generation Cordova 60 Series II. In what is going to be a busy Expo for the luxury boat manufacturer it also will reveal details of an additional six new models — the Hudson Bay 43, 47 and 51; Cordova 47 and 51 and Explorer 46 pilothouse.
In what has been the company’s most ambitious undertaking in its history, Clipper has used the Cordova 60 project to create a completely new interior layout and look for the brand which also has been incorporated into the other six new models.
According to Clipper the new Australian-influenced layouts combines the practical features for which the brand has become renown with single-level entertaining.
Another notable change will be the design of the main cabin in the 47 and 51 sedan and all flybridge models. Located amidships they will now feature an island bed providing owners with a much more comfortable and luxurious live aboard experience. They also have a bigger, brighter feel, and an ocean view thanks to larger portholes.
The Hudson Bay and Cordova 47 and 51 models will also have additional en-suite bathroom.
While retaining the classic, elegant lines of the semi-displacement motor cruiser they will also feature bigger cockpits, they are 3ft (910mm)  longer than in the models they supersede, with the flybridge roof overhang extending the full length of the cockpit providing good protection from the sun. The bigger roof also creates an extra entertaining area in the flybridge. Cockpit tables and seating have been designed to maximise the cockpit area for entertaining. The outdoor entertaining area is connected to the saloon via large, stainless steel saloon doors.
The new-look saloon now has a raised forward-facing L-shaped dinette positioned next to the helm. It also comes with the option of a side or rear galley with opening hopper windows to the cockpit.
The new layout is complimented with sleek, contemporary styling, utilising more fabric finishes and European-style cabinetry and fittings.
The Hudson Bay models also will have a new, distinct solid European window line on the exterior of the saloon creating a sleek contemporary styling queue.
Another new option that is certain to appeal to owners looking for more useable outdoor space is a hydraulic swim platform.
The Cordova 47 and Hudson Bay 51, which are currently in build, are in line to arrive here first with a due date in mid 2016.
